wird von der allwissenden Müllhallde als Poet und Kritiker bezeichnet. Da ich Alan seit mehreren Jahren über eine gemeinsame Lieblingsmailingliste kenne, finde ich diese Beschreibung deutlich zu kurz. Alan Sondheim ist viel mehr so etwas wie ein künstlerisches Universalgenie des Internets. Der Übergang von Gedichten zu Bildern zu Tönen zu Filmen verschwimmt immer wieder. Bei ihm wird aus Code Poesie und aus Poesie werden Bilder.
Wie die beiden Bilder, die sich derzeit bei mir stündlich als Schreibtischhintergrund abwechseln. Ich weiß nicht, was mich an ihnen fasziniert aber sie fühlen sich einfach sehr gut an.
Und wenn er sich dann theoretisch äußert entbehrt es auch nicht einer gewissen Poesie. Wie diese E-Mail, die ich gestern in meinem Posteingang gefunden habe:

Also ich mein' ist das Theorie oder schon Poesie ... oder einfach nur so schön und deshalb am besten als Kunst beschrieben.
Hier kann mensch über Stunden das gesammelte Werk bewundern.
